Feel Different.

The state you need, on demand.

What a session feels like
A progressive, intense, cascade of light and sound — quickly settling in to a rhythm with a feeling of being more clear, grounded and present.

It’s hard to describe until you’ve tried it.

How it works

Your brain has a rhythm. We work with it.

restless locked
01

A rhythm goes in

Rhythmic light through the mask and matched tones through the headphones, engineered to a target frequency.

02

The brain follows

Your oscillations synchronise toward that frequency — the reflex that makes you nod along to a beat.

03

You arrive

Guided toward the state you need — non-invasive, no drugs, no prescription.

The science, in depth

Every state has a
frequency.

Your brain runs on rhythm. Deliver light and sound at a target frequency and its oscillations begin to move toward it — measurable, on EEG.

For the curious

The VS Alpha uses audio-visual stimulation: rhythmic light delivered through the mask as a gentle flicker, and matched binaural or isochronic tones through the headphones. Delivered together at a target frequency, they are significantly more effective than either alone at producing a measurable shift in brain state.

When the visual system is driven at a steady frequency, it produces a measurable response called a Steady-State Visually Evoked Potential. In plain terms: it’s EEG-visible proof that the brain is genuinely responding to the stimulus, not placebo.

EEG (electroencephalogram) is a non-invasive test that records your brain’s electrical activity using small sensors (electrodes) placed on your scalp.

The mechanism is grounded in 75+ peer-reviewed studies spanning sleep, stress, focus and recovery.

Regulatory recognition. In January 2026, the FDA granted its first-ever De Novo authorisation for an audio-visual stimulation device. It means the FDA formally recognised that the AVS mechanism can deliver clinically meaningful outcomes — the first time this has happened at that level of US regulatory scrutiny. It validates the underlying science. This isn’t a product searching for science to justify it. The science existed for decades; Vibe Science engineered a world-class product experience around it.

Wake — morning clarity at first light
Focus — quiet concentration at the desk
Calm — decompressing at end of day
Sleep — deep rest
Four protocols

One for every part of your day.

Each protocol is engineered around your circadian rhythm and matched to a moment. Choose it in the app, put on the VS Alpha, and begin.

Clarity and energy first thing — a short session right after waking.

“I stopped reaching for a second coffee. The mornings just start cleaner.”Maria · Founding Member

Calm, sustained concentration for the work that matters.

“Ten minutes before deep work and the noise in my head settles. My focus, output and decisions change massively.”Nicolo · Founding Member

Lower the arousal of a demanding day — or the moments before a high-pressure one.

“It’s almost like a post-workout endorphin hit. You’re just calm, and you just feel happy… a totally different state.”Tom · Founding Member

Guide your nervous system toward deep rest. 76% fall asleep mid-session.

The essentials

The basics

The VS Alpha helps you sleep well at night, wake sharp in the morning, and perform your best during the day. Protocols designed around your circadian rhythm use precision-engineered light and sound in 5–15-minute sessions to guide your nervous system toward the state you need — on demand. Built on decades of neuroscience research and validated by hundreds of in-lab and in-home tests. Felt in a single session.

The VS Alpha has 10+ protocols, each designed around your circadian rhythm and matched to a different time of day and desired state:

  • Wake — supports clarity and energy first thing, used right after waking.
  • Focus — settles you into calm, sustained concentration for the work that matters.
  • Relax — reduces arousal to help you decompress after a demanding day, or before a high-pressure moment.
  • Sleep — guides the nervous system toward deep rest, used at night or for afternoon naps.

Most people describe a progressive, intense, cascade of light and sound — quickly settling in to a rhythm with a feeling of being more clear, grounded and present. Others describe a feeling of heaviness and calm — similar to the sensation just before falling asleep, but arriving much faster than it normally would. Some describe heightened visual clarity afterward. Everyone’s brain is different, so individual experiences vary. The experience is hard to describe accurately before you’ve tried it, which is why we prioritise live demonstrations.

For most people, yes — the shift is felt in the first session. 76% of participants in our sleep protocol fell asleep during a single daytime session. For some users, the effect deepens over the first week of consistent use as the nervous system adapts to the protocol. If you try it and feel nothing in the first few sessions, contact us — we want to understand why.

As often as it’s useful to you. Many users run a Wake or Focus session in the morning or during the workday, and a Relax or Sleep session in the evening or at night. There’s no dependency risk, so you can match the protocol to whatever the moment calls for.

Our in-lab data from a controlled study of 75 healthy adults showed a 47% reduction in self-reported anxiety following a single session, measurable EEG shifts toward alpha-band relaxation, HRV improvements consistent with parasympathetic recovery, and 76% of sleep-protocol participants falling asleep during the session itself. In our beta cohort, 93% wanted to use the device again immediately after their first session, and 90% shared it with someone else without being asked.

Meditation asks you to do the work — to concentrate, let go, or clear your mind, often when you’re least equipped to. The VS Alpha does something to your nervous system directly: delivering a measurable, physiological shift without requiring effort or technique. Most users feel a difference in a single session.

Neurofeedback trains the brain by giving real-time feedback on its own activity — it requires active participation and, usually, sessions with a trained practitioner. tDCS (transcranial direct current stimulation) passes a low electrical current through the scalp to modulate cortical excitability — a more clinical, more invasive approach. AVS is passive: you don’t need to do anything, learn anything, or visit a clinic. The stimulus drives the shift directly, which is what makes the VS Alpha suitable for daily consumer use.

Wearable trackers are read-only. They tell you what state your nervous system is in — your HRV, your sleep score, your recovery rating — but they don’t change it. The VS Alpha is the other half of that equation: where a tracker reads your state, the VS Alpha gives you the autonomy to shift it. The two are complementary in role, but they’re separate tools.

VS Alpha is a non-pharmacological approach, meaning it does not rely on hormones or sedative medications. Melatonin and sleep medications work through chemical pathways in the body and may come with drawbacks such as next-day grogginess, variable effectiveness, or unwanted side effects. VS Alpha’s Sleep protocol works differently by using gentle sensory stimulation designed to support the brain’s natural transition toward a sleep-ready state. Rather than chemically inducing drowsiness or sedation, it aims to complement the body’s existing sleep processes.

The VS Alpha is a non-pharmacological, non-invasive consumer wellness device. No prescription is required and there is no dependency risk. As with any light-based device, a small number of users may experience mild and temporary discomfort, including headache or eye strain. If you experience any adverse symptoms during or after use, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.

  • The VS Alpha is not suitable for people with photosensitive epilepsy or a history of seizures triggered by flashing lights.
  • If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or are taking medication, please consult your healthcare provider before use.
  • This product is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.
